Recently, when I power on my computer, it emits a four-beep sequence, restarts, and then repeats the same pattern. Anyone know what’s going on? I attempted to run without an external GPU and replaced the CMOS battery.

It might be a faulty memory card or DIMM port. Test by powering on the device and installing one memory stick at a time.

AMI Bios beep codes indicate several issues. A brief DRAM refresh error suggests the programmable interrupt timer or controller may have failed. Short memory parity errors point to a problem in the first 64K of RAM, possibly a bad RAM IC. A base 64K memory failure confirms a memory issue within that range. System timer malfunction indicates a clock/timer IC failure or memory error in the first bank. Processor error signals a CPU failure, with Gate A20 not switching to protected mode. Virtual mode processor exception arises from CPU or motherboard faults. Display read/write error means the video adapter is missing or defective. ROM checksum mismatch implies the BIOS ROM is faulty and needs replacement. CMOS shutdown register read/write failure prevents system shutdown. Cache error affects the L2 cache. Video system test failed, with a horizontal retrace issue. Memory test failure above 64KB detected. The video adapter is either absent or defective. One hardware test failed during POST, though all subsequent tests passed.

Did you alter the RAM speeds? If not, it might be a faulty component.

My RAM chose to stop working and luckily Corsair offers a lifetime warranty.

Hello, I see you're facing a similar issue. Could someone suggest alternative approaches? Your old system has a new CPU cooler, and after installing it, the PC starts beeping four times before shutting down repeatedly. You need to power it off from the back to break the cycle. You have two 8GB RAM sticks; booting with just one works fine, but using both triggers the same problem. I’m wondering if your RAM might be faulty, especially since you’re unsure how the cooler installation affected things. The manual doesn’t list the beep codes, which is confusing. Also, you mentioned a blue screen with an error message when you first wrote this—this is frustrating. Your current setup includes Windows 10 Pro, an Intel Core i5, and several components, but I’m not sure how the RAM configuration ties into the issue.
