3D Realm’s classic First-Person Shooter, ION FURY, is now available!!
Greetings,
If you enjoy classic first-person shooters from the past, be sure to explore this title.
😉
3D Realms has revealed that their nostalgic first-person shooter, powered by the BUILD Engine, titled ION FURY, is now available in its entirety. I believe it has moved out of early access on STEAM. ION FURY draws inspiration from beloved 90s titles like Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, and Shadow Warrior. Players can now duck, jump, climb, swim, and unleash gunfire through seven distinct areas. The game also incorporates several contemporary enhancements, including automatic saving, refined physics and map interaction, headshot targeting, wide-screen support, and gamepad compatibility.
ION FURY boasts meticulously crafted levels brimming with branching paths, impressive visual effects, and intricate designs. Additionally, the game incorporates voxels for a variety of 3D objects. Finally, it includes a level editor alongside other development tools and Steam Workshop integration.

I feel a strong urge to return to the text editor and begin designing maps once more. I became deeply involved in creating levels for Shadow Warrior, diligently working through numerous guides and advanced techniques. I dimly remember constructing somewhat absurd vehicles as well. It’s a regret that I didn't consistently pursue this passion: I developed basic maps for Quake III and Unreal Tournament, yet never fully committed to that endeavor.
Creating maps can be a really enjoyable pastime. I've explored numerous single-player map packs from classic games, including Half Life 2, Crysis, Doom 3, Soldier of Fortune, Far Cry 1, and others. A game editor is immensely valuable for sandbox titles.
Furthermore, I believe this program includes cheat codes—I’m going to experiment with them out of curiosity!
Access these commands through the cheats menu on the main screen:
IMGOD – Enables God Mode (making you invincible).
IMAFK – Provides unlimited resources.
IMFREE – Allows walking through walls.
IMLOST – Reveals the complete map layout.
IMREALBUILDER – Activates Debug Data mode.
IMD4N – Combines God Mode and unlimited resources!!
Just bought this game as well. Excellent old-school shooter. A tribute to HERETIC and HEXEN more like !!

Recent developments regarding a classic first-person shooter are surfacing.
DOOM 64 is now classified in Australia:
Recent information indicates that DOOM 64 is slated for a re-release across several platforms in the near future. The game has now been listed on the Australian Game Classification website with a Mature (M) rating.
Previously,
DOOM 64 received ratings from PEGI for PlayStation 4 and PC, assigning it a 16+ classification. Ratings for Bethesda’s recent remasters of DOOM and DOOM II are currently limited to PlayStation 4 and PC via PEGI. This hints that DOOM 64 might be made available on additional systems, including Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.
The precise timing of DOOM 64’s release on contemporary gaming platforms, and its presentation format, remains uncertain at this stage. It's conceivable that the game will be a modernized adaptation of the original using Unity, or alternatively, it may have been rebuilt utilizing the game's original N64 code.
DOOM 64 is widely regarded by fans of the series as one of its strongest entries. However, it didn’t achieve widespread success compared to other console versions of the franchise, largely due to the dominance of consoles like the Sony PlayStation during that period.
