I noticed AMD released a new CPU targeting budget users. The 5900X is available for $300 on Amazon. It’s worth considering whether it offers significant improvements over the 3900X, especially at 1440p resolution. If not, you might want to keep your 3900X longer unless you notice better performance soon.

For gaming at 5800x3D, sticking with AM4 is ideal. A 5900x would be a moderate step up, while 5800x3D offers a significant leap.

Power restrictions and clock rates at 4K are straightforward. I favor the 5900X. The X3D is also great since it handles cooling well.
