I think the processor is limiting performance. It doesn't seem to be an FM2 Mobo model.

I see, it's not an FM2 motherboard. From the old HTPC you mentioned, you can look for a budget-friendly CPU and chipset combo that still offers solid performance. Something like an Intel Core i3 or i5 with an LGA 1200 socket should work well without breaking the bank.
