You could save the change by purchasing a Ryzen 7 3700X, letting the funds fund a future GPU upgrade or additional storage as needed. The performance boost from the 3800X isn't that significant. Also, CSGO can achieve high FPS even on a weaker CPU, though I'm not sure about the other games you play. A quick reminder—didn't you hear about a new security issue on Team Blue?

I’d like to choose Intel, specifically the 9900K model. It’s pricier by at least $100, and I’m unsure if the DRP4 can manage the heat it produces.

Choosing a solid AM4 board now means you’ll benefit from a big jump later—switching to something like 3600-3700X or Ryzen 4xxx models when they arrive will make it even more impressive. By the way, my setup has 9700K and 8700K; 9700K consistently performs better across all tests. The only advantage of 8700K is its liquid metal cooling, which keeps it competitive.
