It's not uncommon to see similar pricing across different sizes. To determine which option is preferable, consider your specific needs and requirements.

Could you let us know the release date for the CPUs and when the benchmarks will be published?

It's common to see these updates every quarter. By then, we likely won't have detailed insights on Zen 3 performance or benchmark comparisons against Zen 2. The delay is due to an NDA with reviewers.

It seems to be a review contrasting 8,100 cores with 6,120% performance, noting 5600X is likely superior for games that limit to 6 cores, while 3700X shines in multithreading tasks. Comparable to Ryzen 7 2700 versus Ryzen 5 3600X.

Expect similar results in multi-threaded scenarios given the IPC and Core Clock upgrades compared to adding two extra cores. Likely a slight improvement in multi-threaded speed for certain workloads like 3700X, while single-threaded performance will be noticeably stronger with the 5600X. Feedback should become available soon.
