I believe the 3600 offers a stronger performance, though it's still close to the R7 2700X. It's beating the 2700X in certain games with around 10-15 FPS max. The R7 2700X provides more cores and threads (8/16) compared to the R5 3600 (6/12), which could be beneficial for tasks like graphic design or video editing. My preference leans toward the R5 3600 for gaming.

If I had your situation, I’d switch to musical CPUs and trade the 3600 for the 2700X, then relocate the 2700X to an HTPC. Selling the 1600 on eBay would be a good return. The Ryzen 5 1600 is currently selling for over $100 used, which isn’t ideal for buyers but could fetch a decent price from someone looking to upgrade.
