Consider the performance needs for your new PC setup. The Zen+ 8-core (2700x) offers more processing power, which can be beneficial if you plan to run demanding applications or multiple tasks simultaneously. On the other hand, the Zen 2 6-core (3600) provides a solid balance with good efficiency and is often sufficient for streaming and recording tasks. Since your graphics card will handle video workloads, prioritize GPU performance over CPU count unless you're doing heavy multitasking.

Check out the latest tech headlines this week. The upcoming Ryzen release is expected to surface in the coming weeks. Besides that, the 3600 offers good value—enabling GPU streaming via NVENC provides excellent single-threaded gaming performance.

Steaming the 3600 is preferable because it's more recent and offers improved support. However, if possible, it's better to wait until the next generation is released.
