3600 or 2700x?
3600 or 2700x?
I need a quick choice between two options. Prices are 175 and 195 for Belgium. The 2700x is more expensive but offers better performance. My setup runs on an RX 480 at 1080p144Hz with freesync. Gaming feels okay as long as it's smooth, but I'm concerned about multitasking. I also have an i5 4670k that struggles with some games. Should I go with the 3600 or stick with my current CPU?
Essentially identical, just a bit optimized for 3600. Adding two more cores would help with rendering.
Isn't the NH-D15 a bit excessive if I opt for a 3600? I appreciate the cooler option, don’t get me wrong—I’ve used a D14 before and it performed well. However, if I’m planning to spend another 100 bucks just for a cooler, it might be smarter to switch to a 3700x (around 330 at that point). A 3600 plus D15 comes to about 300, while the 3700x is closer.
