I'm a relaxed gamer, mainly into FPS titles and strategy games like SOTTR, COD, Detroit, etc. My setup includes a Ryzen 3 1200 with an A320 motherboard. I have a GTX 1660 GPU and 2×8GB (3200MHz) RAM. I'm considering two upgrade paths: one with a 3300X using MSI B450 Gaming Plus maxing out, and another with a 3600 using Gigabyte B450 D3H. I don't stream or do video editing.

This would be the optimal choice in my opinion.

3600 offers better longevity and may help you save money in the long run. Regarding the board, a professional 4 would likely be priced similarly.

If you're tight on funds and have to compromise elsewhere, then follow what @Mateyyy recommended and opt for the 3300x. It's gaming-savvy and solid for now.
