In the photo you shared, I purchased 32GB of RAM for my PC. PC Part Picker indicated compatibility with the motherboard I had for three years. However, the RAM I ordered doesn’t fit in the current slots. I’m unsure what to do—would you mind assisting me? I was thinking about returning the RAM, but first I’d like some guidance. Here’s a link to the motherboard I bought for you to review and help with: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075RJ...UTF8&psc=1
Adding to @Slottr, when attempting to insert the ram sticks randomly or without properly opening the dimm slots, they won't fit. The pieces must be aligned correctly for insertion. If this isn't the issue, please clarify what prevents them from fitting—such as length, obstruction, or other obstacles. It seems you might be making a mistake, though it could also be a defect in the product.
Ensure everything works together. Consider watching a tutorial on installing RAM. Also, observe that the two sections of the golden teeth on the RAM wire are distinct in size; you must adjust the latches on the sides of the slot.
The latch is meant to secure the RAM sticks securely. I removed the existing 16GB and then took out the old RAM sticks, but when I tried to insert a new one, it didn’t fit properly—seems like the pins weren’t aligned.
Have you attempted to rotate the RAM 180 degrees? Simply flipping them and pushing them in reverse.
The locks on the sides engage themselves once the RAM is properly placed.
@MorbidAngel @Brok3n It's not about what others think. I'm willing to experiment and see what happens.
