I purchased two 16GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM sticks from an eBay seller and recently checked them in my PC. Windows displays each as a 4GB, 2133MHz unit regardless of slot or quantity. I’m concerned this might be a scam since the labels on the heatsinks seem genuine. Could there be another explanation?

Check the image results from Google to compare the labels. Look for variations in chip type or quantity.

These are original parts, matching the online images and labels exactly. The unusual connector on the right side seems tailored for a Corsair model, but it doesn’t match any standard design. It gives the impression this heatsink isn’t meant to fit elsewhere.

On the sticks, the labels say 16GB (4X4GB), but each one is just 4GB. The seller claimed to have sold them in pairs of 16GB, but it looks like they mislabeled or overcharged.

I assumed each chip held about 4GB and will reach out to eBay.
