Looking for a new PC with a low-profile Corsair RAM. Since the CPU isn't overclockable, I need faster RAM—ideally around 4000MHz or higher. It should be pricier than the budget ultra-cheap 32GB 4000MHz CL17 GVK RAM, but not too much more expensive than the cheap options. I’m considering ASRock B760 with DDR4 and a 12th-gen CPU.

Is there a minimum requirement of 4000? 3600 remains sufficient quickly in the current version, and on the 12th generation it's not that important.

The 12th generation CPU you're likely referring to is the B760. These chips generally perform better than non-K alternatives and can reach up to 3600 MHz in Gear 1 for optimal results. The 4000 CL17 and 4266 CL19 kits tend to underperform compared to a 3600 CL18, especially on locked chips where you'd be limited to Gear 2. Even with dual rank B dies, the 4000 still has potential, though it's not guaranteed.

My specifications are now updated. My previous model from ASRock also came from ASRock, I could adjust the backlink to 100MHz instead of near 100MHz. Sam had a problem here. I was really lucky because my card works with Intel 12 and 13 generations, plus it supports the newest (of two) BIOS Intel 14 generation. That gives me many choices (though I haven’t used them yet).

I just noticed the specs mention a high MHz RAM of 16GB. I'm not referring to 4000MHz CL 17 RAM, but I don’t want to use something like 4000MHz CL 19 RAM.

You haven't provided an answer to my query about the CPU you're using. Regarding ASRock's memory details, they tend to be misleading. They provide reasonable estimates for their AMD systems but often overstate numbers for Intel platforms. The figures they share usually apply to unlocked CPUs on Gear 2, not the locked ones found in Z170 OCF builds. A 3600 CL14 is the top you should aim for, though you'd need to lower it to around 3466 to avoid crashes. Unless you find a good deal on a dual-rank B kit, I’d likely choose a 3600 CL18 or 3200 CL16 instead, as performance differences are minimal and prices are much lower.

It supports 3600MHz clock speed for better performance. It also handles 3600MHz CL16, giving you the option for higher frequency if needed. This should help with faster memory operations.

It doesn't significantly impact performance and the price gap is substantial. The same logic applies to not suggesting 3600 CL14, as it would cost more than double compared to 3600 CL18 for at most a 10% boost. 3600 CL16-19-19 is more similar in price to 3600 CL14-15-15 than to 3600 CL18-22-22, yet it's nearer to the latter. It simply doesn't justify the choice.

4000mhz CL 18 RAM offers great value for under 80 euros plus shipping. The same applies to the 3600mhz CL 16 RAM. The main issue is finding affordable, low-profile 4000mhz or higher memory without overspending or risking a high fan noise level. My current specs are an i3 12100f.

Remember, 3600 is 50/50 to work in Gear 1 because of the locked System Agent voltages on the 12100F. If you want to go to Gear 2, then higher speeds start working, but that doesn't start having a performance benefit until 4400+, and at that point it starts being very temperamental to work, and there are still a lot of situations like games that would prefer 3600 CL18 Gear 1 than say 4400 CL19-26-26 Gear 2. As for CL16, it's still not really much a performance improvement. If you want to get it sure, there are kits from TeamGroup that are lower profile, but it just isn't worth it to get them. Also make sure to quote so we get a notification.
