3200 C16 versus 3600 C18 (Ryzen 5 5600X)
There have been many discussions about the significance of RAM speed and latency in the latest Ryzen 500 lineup. I'm curious to see which RAM models would work best and if there are any RGB options you might not have noticed yet. Right now I'm evaluating: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz C16 and Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600MHz C18.
The G-Skill Trident Z Neo and similar models will behave very much alike.
They’ll both deliver similar results, but I’d choose the 3600MHz option.
they match in latency, the 3600 model offers greater bandwidth thanks to its quicker speed. The 5000 series Ryzen performs well with DDR4 3600 and higher, based on some reviews from YouTubers, making the 3600 a solid choice.
For the Ryzen 5000, choose either double-speed RAM or quad-speed RAM to achieve peak performance. Most models come in 4GB and 8GB single-channel, while 16GB typically offers dual-channel options. A common setup is 2x8 (two 8GB sticks) which is standard for many users
