3 cores sleep
3 cores sleep
I recently increased the clock speed of my Ryzen 5 3600 to 4200mHz at 1.375 and ran Cinebench without any issues—everything appears fine. However, I noticed that three cores are putting themselves to sleep during testing, while the performance tab shows all cores active. Is this typical behavior? Could you clarify? Thanks!
Your results are average—still acceptable. With this setup, turning on PBO and using the automatic stock options might improve performance.
I see my scores improve with the overclock. It's not amazing, but it helps. I'm new to overclocking, so I need clarification. Do you mean reverting to the original settings and setting it back to 3600MHz at 1.1375v? Or is it about turning on PBO in the BIOS? Thanks again!
I just adjusted my CPU manually in BIOS to 4200mhz with higher voltage, turned on PBO mode 2, then tested it using Cinebench—it ran smoothly but three of the cores stayed idle during stress tests. It frustrates me because I have a six-core processor and three cores aren’t contributing. In Task Manager under Performance mode, everything seems active.
