At the 30-second mark, I noticed the art style and animation felt very similar. This game was developed by Ska Studios, known for The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai. I’m considering giving it a shot soon. The Dishwasher was impressive and challenging.
That looks like it has a lot of potential. At the same time, there's a lot that could go wrong. If you call something "Souls-like", you're taking a big responsibility to live up to Miyazaki's creative direction when it comes to level design, gameplay mechanics, how the difficulty works, etc. - this wouldn't have been an issue had they not adopted so many of the Souls properties. So hopefully they can make it a nice inspiration from the Souls series, I just worry that it will fail if they get even the most basic Souls things wrong. The game interests me either way.
