You have the option, though performance will be reduced unless you adjust settings. With a total of 2 sticks, the process remains manageable.

I’m not focused on the frequency itself, just whether it works well and fits your needs. The gap in performance between such high frequencies and everyday use or games is usually minimal, so stability and compatibility are more important than this specific detail.

It should work well. If you switch from single-channel memory to dual-channel, you're likely to see significant improvements.
