2020 LG Gram 17 compared to 2021 LG Gram 17

I've been looking into 17-inch laptops and am leaning towards waiting a bit before purchasing the 2022 Dell XPS 17 with the 12 gen everything. Still curious though—does the 2021 LG Gram 17 have fixed RAM, making it a better choice than the 2020 model with its 16GB?

It's unlikely since 16GB of RAM is typically sufficient for most users, and the 2021 model offers quicker RAM, Iris Xe graphics, a superior CPU, and Thunderbolt 4. However, the soldered RAM poses a significant issue because the device cannot be upgraded or fixed if the internal RAM fails.
