What type of adapter is this? Do you need to manually set the speed or duplex on the switch port? If yes, let the client handle it automatically.

I set it to auto mode (forcing it didn’t help) Edit: didn’t answer the adapter question before, sorry. The Intel I219-V integrated adapter is included with the Asus ROG Maximus Hero XI board.

Refers to the physical components. It happened recently when I achieved gigabit speeds, fell asleep, and internet performance dropped the following day. After some troubleshooting, I narrowed it down to this PC, likely involving Windows software, but I’m not sure how to fix it without a full reset (which isn’t ideal for me).

I would look into the task manager or resource monitor to identify heavy resource usage. Please confirm this action has been taken.

Reviewing the update logs shows the most recent system update was on the 30th of last month... that’s about 10 days back. I’m not sure it’s the main reason, but I’ve been struggling to resolve this problem for a while now.

You could perform a new speed test and observe the adapter for full usage.
