Hello, I own a Samsung B-die kit with two 8GB modules at 3600MHz, 15-15-15-35 timing, single-rank configuration. It's been overclocked to 4000MHz using the same settings and a voltage of 1.45V. I'm curious if upgrading to a dual-rank 2x16GB configuration would enhance my gaming performance at 4K resolution. From what I've seen, single-rank RAM overclocking tends to perform better than dual-rank. Also, running at 4K might be an important factor. The rest of my system includes a Maximus Hero XIII Z590, which is planned to pair with a 10900K and later a 11900K. I have an Optane 905p with 960GB storage and a RTX 3090 Kingpin. Any advice or insights would be appreciated?

4k performance is largely dependent on the GPU, with the CPU having only a minor impact at most. RAM effects are generally small, though they can grow with higher frame rates. You seem to want the system to operate near its optimal level, but any noticeable difference is likely negligible unless you're focused on specific metrics. It won't significantly alter your experience unless you're trying to maximize performance numbers.

it concerns the distinction between Intel and AMD processors. some options include two 32GB units or four 16GB units. if you require ample memory, opt for the 32GB model; otherwise, the cheaper alternative works too.

I prefer less RAM—16GB works fine for gaming right now. The main consideration is whether dual-rank performance beats single-rank in FPS. If it does, I'll go for it; otherwise, I'm sticking with 2x8GB for better overclocking. Also, at 4K resolution, the difference between dual and single rank isn't a big deal. Any thoughts on these options?

I can't express myself in 3D, but switching from 4x8 to 2x8 feels tough. It's really challenging, and even when I try, I don't regain everything. At least on my setup...
