You have a mix of 4x4GB DDR3 1600MHz and 4x8GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM. For performance, higher frequency generally matters more than total gigabytes, especially in modern systems.

Increased performance by 1666 but the gap remains minimal, so I’d prefer the 32GB option.

I'm placing it inside an iMac, which means overclocking isn't possible here.

I’d still pick the 32GB option, and I wouldn’t think of an iMac as a “rig” when you don’t mention it, jsyk later.

32GB for sure. There's basically no actual difference between 1333 and 1600

More RAM boosts speed only when you actually use it. For systems with under 16GB, adding 32GB won’t change the outcome.
