Essentially, I was using Metro LL at 1440p on a 780 Ti S with limited resources. It performed much better before reinstalling Windows 8, consistently hitting over 60 FPS. After the install, performance dropped to around 15 FPS regardless of graphics settings. I've experimented with various PhysX settings but haven't found a solution. Any advice would be appreciated.

It's the same issue again with the new operating system. After restarting the game via Steam, it installed an unknown file and now runs smoothly at 60 FPS according to my settings.

The only known instances involving Nvidia cards and Metro are when users are running an old version of Physx. Updating your Nvidia drivers should ensure you have the newest Physx version automatically. However, some individuals discovered their Physx was outdated despite having the latest driver.

Absolutely, I didn't realize that part was important.

I discovered that disabling advanced PhysX improved my frame rate significantly. This might connect to what you mentioned. Thanks.

I experienced low frame rates ranging from 10 to 20 FPS during gameplay with advanced PhysX settings. After installing the latest PHX drivers (version 9.13.1220), performance improved to 45-60 FPS when SSAA was disabled and Advanced PhysX was enabled. It seems the NVidia driver updates aren't syncing properly with the PhysX version.
