I'm trying to grasp these new laptop chips and their thermal limits. I had an 7820hk that never exceeded 70°C in my MSI Titan, so seeing a CPU reach 100°C at its limit seems obvious. Have things changed? What do you think about these temperatures?

Over the last five years, it has been observed that the 10th Gen Intel processors and AMD's Ryzen APUs in laptops operate at 100 Deg C, a condition considered typical by both sides. One approach is to lower the voltage, apply better thermal paste or liquid metal, and position the laptop's back up with an eraser to let cooler air circulate around it.
