144fps tips and tricks?
Im talking about RAM not overclocking the CPU. Im talking about plug and play gains. This weekend or next weekend I am going to start my results on Overclocking the CPU and messing with timings, voltages and whatnot on the RAM - because there is more room to be had here for gains.
However, for the regular person (yes building a PC with 3200 MHz ram up front is what you need to do etc) getting into computers, who wont overclock etc - there isn't gains to be had. Would you like me to tag you on my wall post where theres 7 of us talking about this, Im getting bench requests and just posting when I can?
Real world results, not a guy making money on youtube, is what really matters to me.
And I can tell you the difference between dropping 2133mhz RAM and 3200mhz RAM into a R7 1700 system is nil. If you already have 2133 no need to replace. I wont be. I will just have 1 system with 3200 and 1 with 2133..doing the same things.
Chief, he increased the CPU speed to 4.3GHz.
Next, the RAM was set to 3400MHz.
Then, he pushed both components to their maximum possible speeds.
The RAM provided around 200 points.
Regardless of the RAM model chosen, it defaults to 2133, which is the standard clock speed for DDR4.
Sigh.
1.) It appears at 2666mhz.
2.) I won’t debate with someone who only watches videos; I can just run a case and change RAM to test it.
3.) If a User needs to tweak the whole system for better performance, then those gains aren’t magical—they’re dependent on silicone.
4.) I won’t argue something I can back up, see also point 2.
5.) Infinity Fabric prefers synthetic benchmarks. These don’t reflect real-world improvements.
*talking about gaming only here*
In my B350 system
Firestrike

2133mhz score of 13,133

3200mhz score of 13,297
I have many more I can share. I can also do them from my B450 system. I just can't justify spending all this time on my wife, so this is the quick and easy results before I head out for a few hours.
