You can also utilize the built-in poll feature in the forum rather than strawpoll. Which games will you play?

Thanks, I'll remember that. I enjoy DOTA 2, Rust, and a few other FPS games. I also intend to play Star Citizen one day.

I don’t see any of those as fast, so I wouldn’t go for a 144Hz monitor. Rust is still in its early days, isn’t it? I’d probably guess the game speed is okay and the frame rate isn’t too high. Star Citizen... not sure, but hope you get a good 60Hz? (just guessing since I haven’t played much). I don’t think 144Hz would be a big deal for you.

Looking for a smooth 1440p/165Hz experience with my 980 Ti AMP. This card handles AAA titles at top speeds, often exceeding 60 FPS in many cases. While 1080p might hit around 60 FPS at 4K, the benchmarks don’t always confirm this consistently. It’s a powerful component, but I’m holding onto my 1440p setup for now. I’ll likely wait until a future card can reliably deliver 60+ FPS at 4K without extra effort. Maybe a 1080 Ti will work someday, but given how much I’ve invested, I’m planning to stick with 1440p for a while longer.

Simple option available. IPS 1440p at 144Hz with Gsync. Four K seems excessive and expensive compared to actual performance.

I support the 1440p/144hz setting or the fifth option. I can't play at 144hz in most games with just a 980, but it still feels like a solid balance. Most titles run around 60fps and look great. Or consider a 3440x1440 screen, as someone suggested—it might be a middle ground.
