I was told yesterday we’re purchasing a new laptop for my daughter’s birthday in mid-January. Have all the best offers passed? It’s hard to tell what a decent deal looks like now for such a small device. She’s looking for something around 12 inches, but I went with at least 14 inches. The HP Envy x360 seems reasonable. It would suit everyday tasks, work, graduate school, home use, streaming, and light gaming (mainly older titles or Diablo 4, POE). I doubt anything affordable at 12 inches will be cheap and lack features.
(Not sure how the AMD Zen 4 6-core Ryzen 5 8640HS performs with the GPU)
AMD Radeon™ 760M
The HP I mentioned fits what I’m aiming for. Does it look good? Would the extra $20 be worth it for an 11 Pro model? The one below is an 11 Pro. I might be persuaded to spend more—or less—if there’s a solid reason.
