Hello, your system is just a few days old and you're seeing some strange behavior now. After re-seating the RAM sticks and running a few loops, it started working again. However, now any RAM voltage isn't being detected by the BIOS, even though all sticks appear normal. The question is whether the CPU needs to be re-seated. You're using an LGA 1700 socket board.

It seems like you're investigating potential causes for performance issues. Could you clarify whether you're referring to manual overclocking or XMP profiles? Also, what speed targets are you aiming for?

It seems there was an issue with a stick that wasn’t working properly. The chances of it being faulty were high. They noticed voltage output from a non-functional stick, so they decided to return it. Now they’re sticking with two dimmers since the issue is more severe.

With four sticks the maximum is around 5400, while two sticks allow up to 6000. It's unclear if the dimmer issue affected the four or just the four.

You're right, adjusting speeds might be necessary with four slots instead of two.

I noticed it often, though it wasn’t operating at full capacity. Using just two sticks still gave me 6400 stable, compared to 5400 with four.

I bought 2 sticks of 7200mhz and my aorus xtreme handled it beautifully so I just took a gamble and bought 2 more and it works flawlessly with xmp! I’m on a 13900k but my z690 hero motherboard couldn’t even xmp the first 2 sticks. The xtreme motherboard has been awesome for my ram. I even returned my z790 apex cause I thought I had to have a z790 chipset to run speeds that high. I can’t wait to see what ddr5 brings in the near future
