I noticed it's quite disappointing. It seems more focused on gaming chips first. For the AMD 7950X, what motherboard would you suggest?
Consider Intel only if you already own an Intel system and want to upgrade. It doesn’t make sense to invest heavily in a new build using outdated hardware. You also missed the Microcenter promotions that just closed yesterday—free DDR5-6000 RAM plus a $50 discount on a motherboard paired with the Ryzen 7000 CPU.
Maybe another person can suggest a name, but I'm thinking of well-known names like ASUS or MSI. I'm considering multiple NVME sockets Gen 4 or 5 on the board, along with features I use for 5.1 sound output. Honestly, I might have checked online reviews and narrowed down my options to a few choices.
I'm not from North America. I come from the EU and have the latest 9th generation Intel.
I checked what I was going to focus on, but I wasn't sure if I missed anything. So the Asus ROG Hero costs around 800 dollars, which is pretty steep. It comes with nearly all the features except the top-level power phases on the chipset. Still, it’s more than sufficient for running high-end CPUs. For NVMe, most boards have at least two slots. The 5.1 output seems like a nice touch, but if you don’t already have a dedicated audio card, it’s better to look at the sound quality on the motherboard. More complex PCB layouts mean less interference with studio monitors. Still, the design is solid—look at the connectors, BIOS CMOS buttons, error codes, and the display. On other brands, they were usually 2 to 3 times cheaper. I’d say Asus offers the most user-friendly BIOS right out of the box.
