Hello, I recently assembled a new PC a few days back and noticed the CPU temperatures spike significantly during stress tests. At idle it stays around 30-40°C, but Cinebench pushes it up to 100°C. I've already changed the cooler and re-applied paste without any improvement. The screws are secure, and I used Arctic Silver 5 on my first try and Cooler Master paste on the second. It's unclear if this cooler is suitable for the i5-13600K or if another issue exists. Below are the key specs: Intel i5-13600K (stock), no overclocking, Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition cooler, Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX DDR5 board, G.Skill 32 GB DDR5-6400 RAM, 750W PSU, and a well-ventilated case.

You're seeing scores around 13600k, which should naturally push the thermal limits, making 90-100°C typical for all core tasks. Aiming for 24k-25k in Cinebench R23 is reasonable. I'm using a Hyper 212 black edition on my 3950x, giving me hands-on experience with that cooler.

Outdated cooler, you're maxing out at 100°C with a cheap H212. For the same budget, you could have a much better top-of-the-line model like the assassin/phantom spirit 120, which would handle 13,600k too. Arctic Silver 5 is old and expensive just like the H212—go for a solid paste such as Gelid GC Extreme or Kingpin KPX for the same price.

Reaches 100°C then oscillates between 5.1 GHz and 5.0 GHz on the P-cores (likely throttling slightly). Recent Cinebench result is 24,090.

Looks quite typical for a high-end 212 model, especially given its budget air cooler setup. To boost cooling capacity, you'd need a significantly larger air cooler or a 240/280/360mm AIO unit. Intel and AMD's K/X series will push thermal boundaries to maintain optimal performance across all settings.

Your cooler fits the Cooler Master MasterCase H500. For your CPU, consider a compatible Intel or AMD processor that matches the socket type and performance needs. Let me know if you need more details!

Is this an ideal AIO option? Your case’s front supports 360mm radiators.
