The lifespan of all processors remains consistent regardless of core count or speed. It's around 8+ years. Probably better to invest in something newer like the Ryzen 7000 or 13th generation right now.

You're right, not all creatures are the same. A well-cooled CPU can really heat up quickly—within a decade. The Ryzen 7000 series seems strong. The 13th generation brings some new ideas with Intel's chiplet approach, which is a bit of a leap for early adopters.

For better efficiency and speed, I’ll hold off on the current Intel line until the new Ryzen models arrive. The 5000 series still performs better than Intel right now.
