Many folks claim that few have touched an AMD CPU in years or have never used one. In any case, hold off until AMD pushes down Intel costs.

Exact timing remains unclear, but the issues involve severe problems. It might be due to a user mistake rather than the company’s fault. Review the latest updates before proceeding and then create a build.

I haven't owned an AMD machine in roughly eight years. Yet why should I try again? Reports suggest they still face stability problems with BIOS updates, RAM compatibility, and PCI-E Gen 4 riser cards. Plus, many people mention poor customer service at AMD. It doesn't seem like things have really improved—just faster products overall. Woop woop

Bios updates for certain X570 boards were rare. RAM compatibility seems fine. Adding riser cards with new tech might cause trouble, but you don’t necessarily need one. You can opt for PCIe 4.0 or set the slot to 3.0 if needed. Customer service complaints are common, just like with Intel. There’s little real difference in quality between the two brands. I’ve seen many people criticize Intel—there are plenty of reasons to avoid it. I’ve dealt with lots of BIOS issues, RAM problems, and frustrating support before Ryzen became popular.

A common concern when purchasing a mobile graphics card is that its BIOS might not be compatible with newer CPUs, requiring additional adjustments. If the card supports flashing without a full boot or you can temporarily use another older CPU for upgrades, that could help. Be mindful it might not actually save time.

Absolutely not saying Intel is flawless, but I’ve faced only a few issues—most of them resolved quickly. Overall, I’m happy with the service and performance compared to what Intel offers. My experience with AMD left a strong negative impression. This post wasn’t meant to be a debate about who’s better; it was about hearing any updates on the 11th gen 11700K and whether I should wait before buying a motherboard. As I mentioned, my build is scheduled to be completed by the end of February. I really need a PC right now because I can’t play games at all.
