I'm working with an Asus TUF a15 (FA506II) gaming laptop. It's been about a year, and roughly 6-8 months ago it began crashing under Windows. The crashes were random, happening when the system was stressed or idle. After reinstalling Windows, the problems lessened, but they didn't fully resolve. I ran WhoCrashed on my memory dump files to check the crash report.pdf. I'm seeking advice on how to address this and what steps might help fix it.
The newest Windows update caused issues for your system. You should install the latest AMD chipset driver right away. If problems persist, open Task Viewer, go to the System tab, and look for any red errors. In my situation, the audio driver repeatedly crashed. Restart in Safe Mode and remove any faulty drivers, then let Windows reinstall them automatically. Avoid downloading drivers from the manufacturer’s site—they may be outdated or incompatible with the update. Good luck!
If it doesn’t help, check the temperatures and consider running some memory tests.
