I recently acquired a prebuilt gaming PC from HP that had some issues and was partially disassembled. It currently has a 2080ti FE processor. My plan is to upgrade with more RAM, NVMe storage, and a new CPU. I’m aiming to sell it for around $1,000. Based on recent prices, a used model in the 10,600k range sells for about $140, while a 10,700k model fetches $220. I’m wondering if my pricing is reasonable and whether an i7 would help me get a better offer. I plan to list it at an average price but expect to receive around $1,000 if I get the right buyer.
yeah but I see at least 20 sales on ebay for around 1-1.1k with lesser gpus for this hp 30L whatever. they made a ton of different configs for it but none with a 2080ti. I guess compared to a custom build it may be worth like a hunge more for the name and the embedded windows product key.

It would still generate a $400 profit. Of course, it isn't exceptional, but it's not terrible either. When buying used equipment, most gains come from handling large volumes. Prioritize quantity rather than quality. It's much more profitable to transport 15 Core i5s from 8-10 years ago than just one or two desktops from 3 years ago.
I’ll likely push it to its limit with a 10900kf. I’m planning to sit on it for now, though I think. I can get a 500GB NVMe and a 4TB hard drive for free—DRD4 is affordable but I can’t find any for free. It makes sense to just use it as a new desktop; I don’t really need the extra performance boost, and prebuilt units aren’t worth it. I’m also getting ready to get rid of electronics soon, probably having around $5k in sellable items that I’ve just kept for some reason.
