I own the exact chip in my Lenovo Legion 5 with an RTX 2060 6GB VRAM. I didn’t lower the voltage in the BIOS to cut heat; instead, I adjusted the maximum power available for the CPU in Windows Energy Management, setting it to 80%. This brought temperatures down to around 85°C during gameplay with Metro Exodus, all while maintaining high performance and solid frame rates. Similar results were seen with W40K Darktide at 60fps. Master Chief Collection, Resident Evil 2 & 3 now stay under 75°C, whereas they previously peaked at 85°C at 144fps. It’s not helping that I’m in a warm place—Mexico City averages about 21°C year-round—which isn’t ideal. If you live in a cooler climate, it should perform even better.
