I observed an unusual issue with my setup after purchasing a new Aquantia AQtion 10G pro NIC. Once I checked my internet speeds, they were only at 1gbps. Despite searching online for ways to boost the speed further, I couldn't find any solutions. Could you help identify what might be limiting the connection to that speed? It could be related to the motherboard, the internet service I currently use, or other factors.

The adapter must be linked to a compatible device. All units in the line need 10G or higher performance—this includes the NIC, router, modem, and the connection to the ISP—to ensure proper operation.

The adapter links to my motherboard through PCIe slot 3.0, which seems logical.

You possess a 10Gb interface, yet likely only a 1Gb link connects you to the web.
