1080p vs 4K?
1080p vs 4K?
You're weighing a 4K display against your current R9 390 monitor. For gaming, 1080p high or ultra offers better performance and lower latency, while 4K low or medium might be okay for casual use but could feel less sharp. Consider what you prioritize most.
The immense pixel count clearly surpasses the reduced resolution at higher levels, in my opinion. I've experienced both.
The 390 wouldn’t manage 4K quite so easily. It needs a strong boost to deliver a solid 4K performance.
1440p offers a balanced choice, and the 390 should perform quite well with it.
If importing monitors isn't feasible, I'd consider Korean options such as X-star and Qnix.
4k remains costly, so I purchased three 1080 panels instead of one 4k one.
