1080p native vs 1080p DSR 1440p
1080p native vs 1080p DSR 1440p
so guys i've been adjusting some settings in nvidia control panel and noticed dsr. i actually set dsr to 1440p on my 1080p monitor, and the image looks much better than it does on native 1080p. i've been reading about dsr and its improvements. now, since i've never played on 1440p, if i upgraded my monitor to 1440p, how much would the difference be on my 1080p screen? i know it has about 78% more pixels, but the real question is whether i'd notice a change. also, i'm talking about dsr here, not the 1080p native because that big jump from 1080p to 1440p is significant and it's all about dsr.
thanks in advance

DSR 2K versus Native 2K shows a clear contrast in performance, as forcing your displays to a higher resolution will result in either blurry images or excessive sharpening, depending on the sharpening settings in NVCP versus Native 2K, which remains unaffected. I prefer using 2K as it sits between 1080 and 4K, offering about 78% more pixels without the resource drain seen in 4K, which I've relied on for nearly three years. Also, think about a full Spec Upgrade—8GB VRAM might not be enough. More thoughts to come...
Thank you for the update, but there will definitely be a significant gap between DSR 2K and native 2K. It's surprisingly impressive what DSR can achieve, which is really cool. I'm curious about how 2K native will appear, and yes, 8GB VRAM is probably not enough.
DSR doesn’t surpass native 1080p quality perhaps you prefer the sharper appearance.
