I can obtain the 11700 for $30 more than the 10700. Would it be worthwhile if your focus is mainly gaming on your computer? You’ve already purchased your motherboard, which is a Z490 M-Series gaming edge Wi-Fi supporting PCIe 4.0 with a BIOS update.

Ensure your BIOS is current; otherwise, install the 10700. Updating the BIOS is necessary for compatibility with the 11700.

I don’t have an older CPU to upgrade the BIOS, and only top-tier Z490 motherboards support a BIOS flashback feature. That’s why I’m sticking with the 10700!
