Warhawk327 shared findings with MSI and evga regarding stock frequencies, noting no performance changes across different overclocks. They questioned whether sufficient overclocking was applied to noticeably improve FPS. Suggested downloading the free 3DMark version, running Fire Strike without any overclock, recording results, then applying the OC and comparing. Also mentioned confirming with GPU-Z that the OC is actually implemented.

I had the same problem. My solution was to remove the MSI Gaming APP. It was making the core clock speed remain at the default or whatever setting was in the app. After uninstalling it, MSI After Burner could override the core speed normally again.
