Good evening once more.
I’m seeking some general guidance for a gaming laptop under £1000, intended for short trips away from home (at least 14 weeks). I plan to play mainly indie games, so I don’t need the biggest or most powerful options. However, for an extra £100-200, I’m open to a 3060 or 3050TI model so that I can enjoy better titles at a more reasonable quality. My current setup is solid, but I just need something compact for when I’m away.
The only consideration is the 10% discount at Argos. I’d appreciate some general thoughts on this.

Hey there,
That setup seems quite expensive for the tech specs. Two CPUs on the CPU core and one on the GPU. Would you prefer to purchase a ready-made system or build it yourself? Are you open to a tailored configuration?

For the laptop, it has two older CPUs and a GPU that’s only average. With 1080p high settings and 60Hz, it should handle modern AAA games just fine.

The 8GB of RAM is quite limited. Upgrading to 16GB would be necessary to avoid frequent stuttering during gaming.

I can construct towers on my own, though I haven’t assembled a laptop before. If this isn’t acceptable, could you suggest some other options? Regarding the items from SCAN, I usually browse Argos for general products because of the discounts, and I often overlook how much more costly they are compared to other stores.
