Hey! Just starting in the forums, sorry if my words go against the rules. Here’s what I’m saying about my situation. I recently got a GTX 1070 ROG and a 5-3600x, along with upgrading my RAM from 8GB to 16GB. It’s been working well, but I’ve started experiencing problems that didn’t happen before. For instance, my CPU frequently reaches near 100% usage in games like Rainbow 6 and Dark Souls, even when I set the graphics to medium. My PC already had power performance enabled and all drivers updated, yet the games still freeze, stutter, and crash. With my older i5-4460 and 1050TI, this never happened—those games ran smoothly with the same components. Usually I just open Discord and my game, nothing else. Anyone have any ideas about what might be going wrong? Any tips would be super helpful right now. I’m even resetting my PC to see if that fixes things.

Have you performed a full installation of Windows, or did you merely relocate the storage devices to your new computer?

It seems to keep reminding me, “there was an issue during the reset,” which blocks me from trying it. That choice isn’t available. Yet, I just swapped out the old components and didn’t reinstall Windows.

Ensure you have the latest version of the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft. Install it, save the files to a USB drive, and perform a clean installation there.

Have you increased the graphics options to observe the changes?

The visuals have been reduced in quality and increased in intensity, but the same freezing and crashing effects continue.

It seems the system is blocking the media tool for updating Windows, which is causing frustration.

Start the installation by booting from the USB drive to set up a new Windows 10 version.

If your CPU is using 100% and causing lag even with a powerful machine, try this solution. It helped me with my 9th i7 2060ti.
