Hello everyone, I’m facing an issue with only two games—World of Warcraft and GTA. My CPU reaches 100% usage, and the games crash or freeze. I’m not sure what’s causing this. My specs are: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, eight-core processor, Sapphire Radeon RX 6750XT with 12GB Nitro+, MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard, an M2 SSD, Kingston SSDNow UV400, Western Digital Red 1TB HDD, and a 16GB RAM setup on a Corsair RMx 750X power supply. I’m confident it’s not a hardware problem.

How many years old is the PSU? Original, new, refurbished, used? Past experiences with heavy gaming or video editing?

Check Task Manager and Resource Monitor to see CPU usage during crashes or freezes. Use both tools simultaneously but only one at a time. Maintain the window open while playing to observe activity. Also examine Resource Monitor/History and Event Viewer for any error codes, warnings, or messages before or during the issues.

I purchased it brand new in 2017 and I'm solely a gamer. This issue appears to affect only two games, and I upgraded my CPU six months ago.

A 7-year-old PSU used for gaming is probably a suspect.
It might be at or close to its End of Life.
What issues or mistakes appear when the PC stops working or freezes?
More errors appearing or different errors happening often suggest a bad or failing PSU.
Do you have another functioning PSU that can be replaced for testing?
Use only the cables that came with the test PSU.
Also: make sure all important data is saved at least twice in places far from the affected PC. Check that the backups are readable and can be recovered.
