100% black screen crash occurs unexpectedly.
I bought Rust recently and have faced some problems. When I start the game it works, but when I go to recent servers it gets unstable. My screen goes dark and both my CPU and GPU hit maximum speed. This has never happened before, even though I upgraded my PC and everything seems normal. All temperatures look okay to me, only the menu behaves oddly. Only Rust has caused this issue, while other games like Payday 3, Unturned, Battlebit Remastered and Warzone worked perfectly. I’ve updated drivers as much as possible now but still can’t fix it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I own an i9 12900k with an RX 580, a 4070, and other components listed—my specs are pretty standard. My old setup was Ryzen 5 1400, 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4, X570, and a WD Blue SSD. Now I have the new parts but it’s acting weird again.
I might have resolved my own issue, but I’m unsure why or how. I changed the VGA output line on the PSU from VGA 2 to VGA 3, and it’s working now. I haven’t restarted yet to confirm, but I’ve booted and closed Rust three times already. Why would that matter?
