Hey all- So this has been driving me crazy for years, and I'm positive there's an easy solution that I haven't sorted yet. I have windows 10 and im trying to get my .mov files & my heavier codec video files, like 10-bit files and/or (MTS/raw video formats?) to actually show a visual thumbnail when viewed in explorer, similar to mp4's. I'm guessing I need some kind of 3rd party plugin? it's fine if I do, but I'm really looking for an end-all solution here. Thanks in advance.

Ensure the codec is available on Windows. Use a codec pack for compatibility. Verify it supports thumbnail functionality. Choose a pack that preserves existing OS codecs rather than replacing them. Avoid packs that require uninstalling media files. Built-in Windows codecs generally perform well.
