1 Long beep followed by 3 short beeps on an ASUS motherboard
Whenever I power on the PC, this beep code appears and I don’t understand what’s wrong. It doesn’t affect performance or cause any problems—everything starts normally. I’ve tried reseating the GPU, RAM, even swapping out the CMOS battery, but it keeps happening. There are only three beeps at startup, and nothing else seems off. Is it normal to have this issue?
An unusual pattern of sounds is coming from the audio output. Check that the power source can deliver sufficient power if needed.
I use an MSI Gold rated modular power supply, with a 3070 non overclocked GPU and an i5-11400 CPU. I connect two different power cables to the GPU, and I’m confident there’s no power issue since my 2060 GPU still works despite the error sound.
